Kuranda is looking for manufacturing or distribution businesses to acquire with annual revenues in the range of $10-120 million and enterprise values under $70 million. Other desirable attributes are:


  • At least $2 million/year operating cash flow
  • Recurring revenues
  • Industrial or commercial customers
  • Growth potential

Examples of products that would be of interest to Kuranda include:

  • Industrial and commercial components and supplies, especially if based on a proprietary process or design
  • Electronic systems that have relatively long life cycles, such as satellite communications equipment, pollution control equipment, certain test and measurement equipment
  • Specialty packaging
  • Building supplies and products
  • Recreational products and other leisure time items
  • Branded consumer products

Kuranda also considers buying service businesses where the complexity of service offering is relatively low and operating leverage and growth prospects are above average.
